I’m a designer with more than 17 years of experience across product design, apparel, graphics, branding and product development. I’m based on the NSW South Coast, just north of Wollongong, where I live with my partner Cara, our young son Stoney and our American Bully, Dallas.
Outside of work, I’ve always been into motorcycles, old cars, clothing, workwear, photography and anything with a bit of history, craftsmanship and character behind it. I’m a pretty hands on person and usually have some kind of project on the go whether that’s working on an old Harley, developing a clothing idea, fixing up the house or spending time with family and friends.
What I Do
My experience covers much more than simply creating a design.
I can help take a product from the initial idea right through to production, including concept development, design, technical drawings, colour ways, print and artwork preparation, tech packs, specifications, production ready artwork and factory communication.
Having worked closely with manufacturers and suppliers for many years, I understand what factories need in order to turn a design into a successful finished product. I’m comfortable liaising directly with factories, answering technical questions, reviewing samples and making the adjustments needed to keep a project moving.
How I Can Help
I like to approach design from a solution based perspective.
Sometimes a client knows exactly what they want and simply needs someone experienced to execute it properly. Other times, they have an idea but not quite sure how to turn it into something that can actually be manufactured.
That’s where I can help.
I can come into a project at almost any stage, from an early idea or rough sketch through to an existing product that needs refining, artwork that needs designed, developed and prepared for production, a tech pack that needs completing or communication with a supplier that has become difficult.
My aim is to make the process easier, solve problems before they become expensive ones and provide clear, practical design support that gets products made properly.
After many years working across design and product development, I’m now looking to collaborate with brands, businesses and individuals on freelance, contract and project based work.
If you have an idea you’d like to develop, a range that needs some extra design support or a product that simply needs help getting across the finish line, I’d love to hear about it.

Awards & Recognition
Winner — Australian Surf Industry Awards ( APEX Surfboard Travel Cover ) - Surfing Accessory Of the Year 2025
Winner — Australian Surf Industry Awards ( APEX Surfboard Travel Cover ) - Product Innovation Award 2024
Winner — Australian Surf Industry Awards ( APEX Surfboard Travel Cover ) - Surfing Accessory Of the Year 2024
Why these matters
Winning three Australian Surf Industry Awards across two consecutive years is a significant recognition of the design and development work behind the Apex Board Cover range.
The Apex surfboard cover range was awarded Surfing Accessory of the Year in 2024, Product Innovation of the Year in 2024, and then Surfing Accessory of the Year again in 2025.
What makes these awards particularly meaningful is that they recognise more than aesthetics alone. The Surfing Accessory of the Year award is voted on by surf retailers, taking into consideration innovation, product design and real-world sales performance, while the Product Innovation award is assessed by an independent judging panel against criteria including design benefits, problem solving, differentiation and impact within the marketplace.
Receiving recognition across both categories and winning Surfing Accessory of the Year in consecutive years validates the Apex range as a product that successfully combined thoughtful design, genuine innovation and commercial relevance.
For me, these awards represent industry recognition of the complete product development process: identifying opportunities, solving practical problems, refining functionality and ultimately helping create a product that performed both for the end user and in the marketplace.
